CRISP Cam is made by Jelly Dev Ops Pty Ltd in Australia. The app collects no data at all. This website keeps one thing, your email address, and only if you ask us to tell you when the app launches.
The CRISP Cam app
The short version
CRISP Cam collects no data. All recording and analysis happens entirely on your iPhone. Nothing you record (video, audio, photos, or any information derived from them) is ever sent off your device. The app contains no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it makes no network connections.
Camera and microphone
CRISP Cam uses the camera to record a short clip and the microphone to include sound in the video saved alongside your chosen photo. Recordings are processed on your device and saved only to your own photo library. They are never uploaded or shared with anyone, including us.
Face data
To choose the best frame, CRISP Cam analyses faces in your clip on your iPhone, for example whether eyes are open and how natural an expression looks. This analysis is transient: face data is used only in the moment, on the device, to rank frames. It is never stored, never transmitted anywhere and never shared with anyone. The app cannot identify who is in a photo and does not use face data for authentication or any other purpose.
Photo library
With your permission, CRISP Cam saves your chosen photo and video to your photo library, and can maintain a CRISP Cam album. If you import a clip, you pick it yourself through the system photo picker; the app never browses your library.
Data collection and sharing
We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal information through the app. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in it. Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing to request, correct or delete: everything it produces lives solely in your own photo library, under your control.
Children
The CRISP Cam app does not collect data from anyone, including children.

What we keep
If you use the “Get notified” form, we keep:
- your email address;
- the wording you agreed to beside the button;
- when you signed up and when you confirmed.
That’s all. We don’t ask for your name, we don’t store your IP address, and this site sets no cookies.
What we use it for
To send you one email asking you to confirm, then an email when CRISP Cam launches and the odd product update after that. We never sell your address or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We rely on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
How long we keep it
- If you never confirm, your address is deleted automatically within 7 days.
- If you unsubscribe, we delete your address straight away.
- Otherwise we keep it until you unsubscribe or we stop sending CRISP Cam news.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. One tap and your address is gone. You can also email hello@crisp.cam.
Who helps us run it
Cloudflare hosts this site, stores the waitlist and sends our emails. Cloudflare may process data in data centres outside your country. We also use two Cloudflare tools on this page:
- Turnstile checks that the form is being filled in by a person, not a bot. It processes only the technical signals it needs for that check and doesn’t read what you type. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum.
- Web Analytics counts page visits. It uses no cookies or local storage, doesn’t fingerprint you, and doesn’t record your screen or what you type.
There are no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party fonts on this site.
Children
This site is for a general audience and isn’t aimed at children. We don’t knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we’ll delete the address.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@crisp.cam and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or to your local data protection authority if you’re in the EU or UK.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll post the update here with a new date. If a change affects how we use your email address, we’ll tell you by email first.
